"Almonds and Corals" Original Mixed Media Watercolor Painting by Sandy Tyler

After learning about sloths in the rainforest, walk along a leaf-strewn path that leads to this incredible beach near Almonds and Corals resort. The water is so clear you can see for miles and the only sounds are the waves and wildlife. Storm clouds warn of rain soon but it's not a far trek to an open air restaurant and the welcome cool winds.

This is 1:4 of my Costa Rica series.

This 6" square painting is framed in a handmade pine frame and sealed with Tung Oil. The painting itself was created on FSC certified Aquabord with watercolor pencils, soil watercolor, and Woody pencils. It is sealed with a honey and casein fixatif, eliminating the need for glass. There were no harsh chemicals or plastics used in the creation or finishing of this artwork.

Artwork was created by me, Sandy Tyler, in Ohio using the most sustainable materials I could find. Most materials are made by artisans in the USA.
